Our qualified cancer care nurses are passionate about supporting you to receive the very best care and treatment throughout your journey with cancer.

At the COUCH Wellness Centre we work collaboratively with our clients to explore all aspects of their individual cancer care needs to provide a holistic approach to your treatment or recovery. We look to build you a team of cancer care supports across many different areas such as physical, practical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, health and well-being to help you find your 'new normal'as you navigate your cancer diagnosis.

Through the Care Partnership Program, our clients have access to an extensive range of the supports and services required to manage a cancer diagnosis at every stage including treatment, recovery, survivorship and palliative care.

Our nurses follow best-practice frameworks and can provide you with the most up to date research and evidence in managing cancer. You will gain access to the right advice, at the right time.

When you join as a client, an extended appointment will be made for you with your assigned Cancer Care Nurse. During your meeting, you will discuss a range of topics and explore options of supportive services which may assist with managing your individual situation. After this meeting, a wellness plan will be created specifically for your needs.

Your plan can be shared with your GP and treating team, so everyone is on the same page to support your health and well-being. We regularly review your wellness plan and help guide you through the choices you have made.

Your Cancer Care Nurse is there to check in with you as often or as little as you need. If you have a question, need some advice or wish to share some news, we are right there with you. Our model of care links all your support services together to maximise the benefits to you. We call this a multi-disciplinary appraoch to care.

With your GP and/or treating team connected to your COUCH Cancer Care Nurse, Allied Health and Complementary Therapists, we are all working together to provide you everything you need to be your own health advocate.
